Volleyball Recap: Centennial Knights vs. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles
Centennial was the 2-0 winner over Mt. Bethel Christian Academy when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Centennial Knights fell 3-1 to the Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles on Friday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Centennial actually scored more points across those four sets (93-92), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-23, 16-25, 25-21.
Despite the loss, Centennial still got an impressive performance from Lily Engels, who had 17 digs.
Even though they lost, Centennial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive games.
