Troy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Esperanza Aztecs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since March 1st.

Troy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 22-25, 25-23, 26-24, 15-8.

Troy's victory bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Esperanza, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will host Valencia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Esperanza, they will take on Villa Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
