Softball Preview: Hudson Explorers vs. Nordonia Knights
Hudson has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Nordonia Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Monday, Hudson fell victim to a tough 22-6 defeat at the hands of Brecksville-Broadview Heights.
Meanwhile, Nordonia was able to grind out a solid win over Mayfield on Thursday, taking the game 14-11.
Gracie Smith was incredible, scoring four runs while going 5-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Haydn Paul, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Hudson dropped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Nordonia, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Hudson might still be hurting after the 15-7 defeat they got from Nordonia when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can Hudson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
