Basketball Recap: Fort Bend Christian Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Amber Hayes and Naomi Jones

Fort Bend Christian Academy lost against Bay Area Christian last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles fell 67-58 to the Bay Area Christian Broncos. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Despite the loss, Fort Bend Christian Academy had strong showings from Naomi Jones, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards, and Amber Hayes, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 17 points and six rebounds. Those 13 boards gave Jones a new career-high. Zoe Bell also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Even though they lost, Fort Bend Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.
