After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lugoff-Elgin, Sumter was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the West Florence Knights by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for Sumter: when they faced off against West Florence back in March, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Ethan Simpson and Alexander Krivejko scored all three of Sumter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Sumter's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for West Florence, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.

Sumter will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ridge View at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Sumter will be up against Ridge View's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.45 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Florence, they have already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Waccamaw on the 15th.
