Baseball Recap: Circle Christian Wins Going Away Against Lake Mary Prep

It's playoff time, and Circle Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Lake Mary Prep Griffins 7-1 on Tuesday. The Centurions not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 26th.

Jon Waldrop was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Cayden Cook was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Waldrop wasn't the only one making solid contact: Circle Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Centurions are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Circle Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Lake Mary Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Circle Christian will challenge Trinity Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Centurions will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. Lake Mary Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
