Volleyball Recap: Ellis Takes a Loss

Ellis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Oakley Plainsmen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Plainsmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-8.

Leah Reed paced Ellis' offense, picking up four kills. Reed got some help from Taylor Kohl and her eight assists.

Ellis' defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Oakley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 30-0.

Ellis has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Smith Center on the 11th. As for Oakley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Hoxie on the 11th.
