Recap: New Milford Green Wave vs. Immaculate Mustangs
The New Milford Green Wave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight defeat. They suffered a rough 69-44 defeat at the hands of Immaculate. New Milford has not had much luck with Immaculate recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Several Green Wave players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Armani Checo, who scored ten points. Ryan Esposito was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, New Milford were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. This was only their tenth loss (out of 13 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
New Milford dropped their record down to 4-15 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Immaculate, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Milford will take on Kolbe-Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Immaculate, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Abbott RVT at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
