Basketball Recap: Eureka Comes Up Short

Eureka lost against Bloomington Central Catholic back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eureka Hornets fell 61-54 to the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints.

Emme Hurie continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bloomington Central Catholic, dropping a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Hurie also racked up eight assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Logan Shanks was another key player, going 6-for-13 to rack up 16 points and five boards.

Eureka's defeat dropped their record down to 23-8. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, they pushed their record up to 22-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither Eureka nor Bloomington Central Catholic have any future games scheduled.
