Football Game Preview: Chapel Hill Panthers vs. East Coweta Indians + Official Tickets

The Chapel Hill Panthers will head out to challenge the East Coweta Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapel Hill hasn't scored more than 13 points for seven games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chapel Hill faced off against Douglas County on Friday. The Panthers were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 48-10. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 314th, while the Tigers are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, East Coweta hadn't done well against Westlake recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Indians made off with a 28-27 victory over the Lions. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

East Coweta's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Chapel Hill was dealt a bruising 43-13 loss at the hands of East Coweta in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 31-6.
