Basketball Recap: Tri-County Takes a Loss

Tri-County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the West Lafayette Red Devils on the road by a 75-59 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Red Devils are ranked 80th).

Despite the loss, Tri-County still got an impressive performance from Noah Pratt, who went 7-for-8 en route to 22 points. The dominant performance gave Pratt a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Foster, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points.

Tri-County's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for West Lafayette, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Tri-County will face off against Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Lafayette, they will venture away from home to challenge Western at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Western is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season.
