Basketball Recap: Butler Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Butler, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Piqua Indians on Friday as the Butler Aviators made off with a 65-41 win. Given the Aviators' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Indians are ranked 808th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Butler's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Piqua, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Butler will face off against Xenia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piqua, they will welcome Sidney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sidney knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Piqua likes a good challenge.
