Baseball Recap: Winnacunnet Takes a Loss

If Winnacunnet was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Manchester Memorial on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Pinkerton Astros by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Astros recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Winnacunnet's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Pinkerton, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Winnacunnet is set to take on their familiar foe Exeter at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.4, the Blue Hawks 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Pinkerton will challenge rival Londonderry at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
