Preview: Eastwood Eagles vs. Edison Chargers
The Eastwood Eagles will take on the Edison Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastwood is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Eastwood never let their opponents score. They strolled past Pleasant with points to spare, taking the game 14-0.
Eastwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caiden Maize, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadyn Donnell, who threw for 166 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Edison stacked a tenth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Spencerville, posting a 48-0 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Edison sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Eastwood is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Edison, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
Eastwood might still be hurting after the 28-7 defeat they got from Edison in their previous matchup back in November of 2016. Thankfully for Eastwood, Sam Stoll (who rushed for 90 yards and four touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
