South Mountain is 9-1 against Camelback since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The South Mountain Jaguars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Camelback Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

South Mountain is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Browne on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. South Mountain lost 76-54 to Browne. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Camelback came up short against Maryvale on Wednesday and fell 81-70.

Camelback has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for South Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.

South Mountain didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Camelback in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, but they still walked away with a 38-33 win. Will South Mountain repeat their success, or does Camelback have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
