Recap: Eastern Warriors vs. Peebles Indians

The Eastern Warriors were the 58-50 winner over the Peebles Indians when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Eastern falling 37-23. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while Peebles is ranked 121st).

Leading Peebles to victory were Angel Gray and Payton Johnson. Gray scored ten points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Johnson scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Johnson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Caydence Carroll was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.

Eastern has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Peebles, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
