The Lions blew past the Redskins 11-2 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight matchups by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 JJ Cencelewski was a  major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double. That's the most  hits  he has posted  over his last 11  games.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Silas Laidig, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in May of 2024.  Preston Williams was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.
Bremen's record now sits at 12-8-1. As for Knox, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record  this season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Knox beat Bremen by a score of  19-7 on Friday.
