Basketball Recap: Sanford Falls Short of Bonny Eagle in the Playoffs

Sanford and Bonny Eagle squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Sanford had to settle for second. They fell to the Bonny Eagle Scots 64-59. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Scots earlier this season, when they won 71-56.

Sanford has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Bonny Eagle, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-11.

Sanford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bonny Eagle, they will take on Thornton Academy at 7:45 p.m. on February 20th. Thornton Academy will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Bonny Eagle surely won't give up without a fight.
