Volleyball Recap: Key West Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Key West, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Suncoast Chargers on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Conchs: when they faced off against the Chargers two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Key West took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-9.

Audrey Smith paced Key West's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Molly McKnight and her 21 assists. McKnight was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Key West's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Suncoast, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Key West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Naples on the 6th. As for Suncoast, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Jupiter Christian on the 6th.
