League recap: Cashmere tops Meridian to extend winning streak

Cashmere added to the longest winning streak in 1A Caribou Trail this week by beating Meridian, 41-22. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Bulldogs.

Okanogan and Connell played the most contested game in the league this week, with Okanogan eventually emerging with a 13-10 victory.

Quincy's Dallas Bassett and Connor Trevino have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Bassett has thrown for 1,871 yards this season, while Trevino has 31 catches for 737 yards. Chelan's Kai Clausen leads the league in rushing yards with 875.

The top two teams in 1A Caribou Trail will face off this week when first place Okanogan takes on second place Cashmere. The Bulldogs topped the Eagles last week, while Cashmere bested the Trojans.

Phil Zukowski's team took down Meridian 41-22 last week, the largest margin of any game.
