Softball Game Preview: Frankenmuth Eagles vs. Clio Mustangs

The Frankenmuth Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Clio Mustangs on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Frankenmuth came up short against Millington and fell 7-4.

Frankenmuth saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miranda Polley, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Clio entered their tilt with Garber on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They beat the Dukes by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-5.

Frankenmuth's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-12. As for Clio, their win bumped their record up to 21-2.

Frankenmuth got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2017 against Clio by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
