After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Archbishop Carroll, Digital Pioneers Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 79-53 margin over the Capital City Public Charter School EAGLES. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Pythons had established a 23-point advantage.

Keenan Parker Jr. was the offensive standout of the contest as he went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points. Another player making a difference was Anton Arrington, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why Capital City Public Charter School lost, don't look at Drew Whittington. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. Whittington's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Moses Jackson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The win got Digital Pioneers Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Capital City Public Charter School, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

As for Capital City Public Charter School, they have also already played their next matchup, a 70-69 defeat against Thurgood Marshall Academy on the 8th.
