Memorial took a 14-run loss the last time they faced off against Marion Local, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Roughriders had just enough and edged out the Flyers 6-5 on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Roughriders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Memorial's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Marion Local, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Memorial will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Recovery at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marion Local, they will venture away from home to take on Russia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Flyers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
