Baseball Game Preview: Northwest Lions vs. Oakville Tigers

The Northwest Lions will head out to face off against the Oakville Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Northwest fell victim to Hillsboro and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Hawks.

Northwest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Hawkins, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Oakville's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of St. Louis University by a score of 2-1.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Oakville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Northwest came up short against Oakville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 6-1. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
