Basketball Game Preview: Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers vs. Schurz Bulldogs

The Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers will take on the Schurz Bulldogs in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Noble Street College Prep has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-1 during that stretch of close contests.

Noble Street College Prep is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Francis W. Parker just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 24-23 to the Colonels.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Olivia Moore-Bozeman, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Tiffany Gaona, who put up two points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Schurz took a blow against North Lawndale on Friday, falling 44-16. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Schurz and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Noble Street College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Noble Street College Prep came up short against Schurz in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 29-18. Can Noble Street College Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
