Softball Recap: Horn Comes Up Short

If Horn was feeling good fresh off their 21-0 takedown of DeSoto last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Horn Jaguars came up short against the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes on Tuesday, falling 9-1.

Horn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoie Armstrong, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Horn's loss dropped their record down to 12-9-1. As for Duncanville, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-2-1.

Horn and Duncanville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Horn will challenge Cedar Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 707 places (295 vs. 1002). Horn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season. Meanwhile, Duncanville (ranked 95th) will meet Mesquite (ranked 632nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
