Baseball Game Preview: Tuttle Tigers vs. Bethany Bronchos

For the second straight game, Tuttle will face off against Bethany. The Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Bronchos at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuttle's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Bethany's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Tuttle had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Bethany on Monday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Bronchos. Considering the Tigers have won 13 games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Tuttle got a great performance from Kannon Henn as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Henn has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Parker Madison and Jett McCoy did most of the damage at the plate: Madison went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while McCoy went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs McCoy has posted over his last eight matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Mesa Dickerson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Tuttle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Tuttle pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bethany, the defeat snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 14-5 record.
