Softball Recap: Carrollton Comes Up Short

Carrollton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salem Quakers. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Quakers earlier this season, when they won 17-11.

Marleigh Osolin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Paityn Crank was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Carrollton's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Salem, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Carrollton is set to challenge their familiar foe Minerva at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Salem will face off against rival West Branch at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
