Muncie Central suffers seventh straight loss on the road

The Muncie Central Bearcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indianapolis Bishop Chatard.

When it comes to explaining why Muncie Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is DeMarkis Cole. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shemar Taylor, who scored ten points.

Leading Indianapolis Bishop Chatard to victory were Colin Guy and Ethan Roseman. Guy scored 19 points along with two steals, while Roseman scored 25 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Guy scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Scotty Semler, who scored 11 points.

Muncie Central's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Muncie Central will be playing at home against Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Marion has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 218 points over their last three games. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they will head out on the road to challenge University at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully University focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday.
