Soccer Recap: Wilmington Takes a Loss

Wilmington lost against Reed-Custer back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 10-3 to the Comets. Wilmington were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 8-2.

Audrey Powlick and Grace Jones scored all three of Wilmington's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Wilmington is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for Reed-Custer, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Wilmington has already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against Momence on the 4th. As for Reed-Custer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Streator on the 10th.
