Soccer Game Preview: Cannon vs. Charlotte Latin

The Cannon Cougars will head out to take on the Charlotte Latin Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Cannon came up short against Charlotte Country Day School and fell 4-2. Cannon haven't had much luck with Charlotte Country Day School recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Charlotte Latin made sure to put some goals up on the board against Charlotte Christian on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Knights. The result was nothing new for Charlotte Latin, who have now won nine matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Charlotte Christian with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Thomas Hamilton, Jacob Nguyen, Michael Ferro, and Knox Hutcheson.

Charlotte Latin's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 12-5. As for Cannon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-1.

Cannon skirted past Charlotte Latin 2-1 when the teams last played on September 11th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
