Basketball Recap: Emmaus Triumphs

Emmaus won the last time they faced East Stroudsburg North and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets secured a 53-49 W over the Timberwolves.

Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Jeffers, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points. Thanks to that strong game, Jeffers now owns an excellent 42.9% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Wayne King, who shot 50% from the field en route to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Emmaus' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for East Stroudsburg North, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Emmaus has already played their next contest, a 61-33 win against Quakertown on the 13th. As for East Stroudsburg North, they will be home for the holidays to greet Stroudsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
