River Falls strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the New Auburn Trojans.

River Falls' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Doerre, who had eight digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Doerre a new career-high.

Doerre wasn't the only good server: River Falls was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in four consecutive games.

River Falls' win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for New Auburn, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, River Falls will square off against Eau Claire Memorial at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for New Auburn, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Birchwood at 7:00 p.m. on September 11.
