Baseball Recap: Caprock Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Caprock's offense. They came up short against the Plainview Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Longhorns of the 15-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Caprock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trae Sauceda, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Sauceda's first of the season.

Caprock is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-26. As for Plainview, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.

While Caprock had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
