Football Recap: Brockton Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jarred Mighty 26 Ath and Marcio Semdeo

Brockton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Franklin, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Boxers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 21-18 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Boxers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Brockton's loss came despite strong showings from Marcio Semdeo and Jarred Mighty 26 Ath. Semdeo threw for 189 yards and one touchdown on only 14 passes, while Mighty 26 Ath rushed for 15 yards and a pair of TDs. Mighty 26 Ath was even better on defense, making six total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Brockton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Franklin, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Brockton has already played their next contest, a 48-6 loss against Lincoln-Sudbury on the 26th. As for Franklin, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Algonquin Regional at 6:00 p.m. on the 3rd.
