Basketball Recap: Wareham Takes a Loss

Wareham came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Bourne Canalmen, falling 69-48. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Canalmen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Wareham's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Bourne, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wareham will square off against Fairhaven at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bourne, they will take on Somerset Berkley Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Somerset Berkley Regional will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Bourne surely won't give up without a fight.
