Baseball Recap: Wesley Chapel Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wesley Chapel had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Winter Springs Bears. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Wesley Chapel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Pabon, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Pabon is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 11-13 when he doesn't).

Wesley Chapel pushed their record up to 16-13 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Winter Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 26-6.

As of now, neither Wesley Chapel nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
