Norwayne is 10-0 against Hillsdale since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Both will face off at 7:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Norwayne knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Hillsdale likes a good challenge.

Norwayne is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Chippewa: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Norwayne blew Chippewa out of the water with an 80-49 final score. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Norwayne's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braden West, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Hess, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Norwayne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Hillsdale was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 56-50 to Smithville. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Smithies are ranked 125th).

Norwayne's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Hillsdale, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.

Norwayne strolled past Hillsdale in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 58-40. Does Norwayne have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hillsdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
