Softball Recap: Turkeyfoot Valley Area Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mapletown

Turkeyfoot Valley Area had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 11-1 to the Mapletown Maples on Wednesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Kya King made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Mapletown now has a winning record of 2-1.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area has already played their next game, a 10-6 win against Clay-Battelle on the 25th. As for Mapletown, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-2 loss against Charleroi on the 21st.
