Volleyball Recap: Beloit's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Beloit was the 3-0 winner over Ellinwood when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Eagles on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Trojans' undefeated start to the season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-12.

Reagan Cheney paced Beloit's offense, picking up 14 kills. Cheney got some help from Colbi Stroede and her 15 assists.

Ellinwood can attribute much of their success to Bennett Jacobs, who had eight digs and three assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Beloit fell to 5-1. As for Ellinwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Beloit will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Minden at 6:00 p.m. As for Ellinwood, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Phillipsburg on the 8th.
