Softball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Weston Ranch

Weston Ranch barely beat Delhi the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Weston Ranch Cougars never let the Delhi Hawks get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Cougars have won three matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Weston Ranch got a great performance from Treshia Garcia as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Garcia has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Cianna Avamolifua was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Gigi Gheith, who went 2-for-3 with six RBI, one run, and one double.

Weston Ranch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Weston Ranch and bumps their season record up to 3-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. As for Delhi, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Weston Ranch has already played their next game, a 17-7 win against Gustine on the 27th. As for Delhi, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-0 defeat against Modesto on the 3rd.
