Clinton Prairie had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Clinton Central Bulldogs on Monday as they made off with a 13-3 victory. Considering the Gophers have won 11 contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson Price made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Thomas, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Harshbarger, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Clinton Prairie is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Clinton Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.

As of now, neither Clinton Prairie nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
