Baseball Recap: Izard County Takes a Loss

Izard County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Izard County's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Izard County is taking a road trip to challenge Norfork at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Marshall at 4:30 p.m.
