Basketball Recap: Sparrows Point Takes a Loss

Sparrows Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 62-38 to New Town. While losing is never fun, the Pointers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while New Town are ranked 40th).

Sparrows Point's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for New Town, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

While Sparrows Point had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Wednesday.
