Volleyball Recap: Silver Creek Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Rebecca Spagnoletti and Addie Riedel

Silver Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Frederick Golden Eagles. If the Raptors were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Golden Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 23-25, 25-23.

Silver Creek's loss came despite strong showings from Addie Riedel and Rebecca Spagnoletti. Riedel had nine digs and two assists, while Spagnoletti had five kills and four digs. Spagnoletti is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Silver Creek's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Frederick, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Silver Creek will square off against Monarch at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frederick, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Fairview on the 6th.
