Volleyball Recap: Clay County Comes Up Short

Clay County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Gilmer County Titans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat last Tuesday.

Clay County was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0.

Clay County's loss dropped their record down to 1-24. As for Gilmer County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-8-1 record this season.

Clay County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against James Monroe on the 23rd. Gilmer County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
