Basketball Recap: Walnut Ridge Takes a Loss

Walnut Ridge lost against Newport back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Walnut Ridge Bobcats might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Newport Greyhounds an easy 55-32 victory. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Walnut Ridge and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Newport, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Walnut Ridge has already played their next game, a 62-30 defeat against Brookland on the 23rd. Newport and McCrory will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th.
