Basketball Recap: Brookhaven Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Brookhaven needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Kema Roberts. The Brookhaven Panthers came out on top against the Crystal Springs Tigers by a score of 48-41 on Tuesday thanks in part to Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

The team also got some help courtesy of Zaniya Nunnery, who posted four points and five assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in assists.

The win got Brookhaven back to even at 5-5. As for Crystal Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Brookhaven Panthers face off against the Mendenhall Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering Mendenhall has lost four straight at home and Brookhaven three straight on the road , this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum. As for Crystal Springs, they will take on Vicksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
