Baseball Game Preview: Colmesneil Bulldogs vs. West Sabine Tigers

Colmesneil is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and West Sabine a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Colmesneil Bulldogs will host the West Sabine Tigers at 6:00 p.m.

Colmesneil came up short against Hemphill on Thursday, falling 7-1.

Meanwhile, West Sabine gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Hemphill 3-2.

Laken Quick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, West Sabine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Estes, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Estes has posted since back in April of 2024.

West Sabine's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Colmesneil, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Colmesneil couldn't quite get it done against West Sabine in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
