Soccer Recap: Trinity Episcopal Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Trinity Episcopal and Collegiate squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Trinity Episcopal had to settle for second. They lost 5-0 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Trinity Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Collegiate are ranked first).

Trinity Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-4. As for Collegiate, their victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-0-1.

Trinity Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Collegiate, they will take on St. Anne's-Belfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Collegiate's defense better be ready for this one: St. Anne's-Belfield have averaged an impressive 3.9 goals per game this season.
